Serves:
10 Donuts
Ingredients
Ingredients:
1 ten count can Pillsbury Grand Biscuits
1 Cup Sugar
1½ Tablespoon cinnamon
1 stick margarine melted
Vegetable Oil For Frying
Preparation
Pour oil into large cast iron skillet or frying pan to the depth of a little less than ½ an inch and heat on medium to medium high for about five minutes. In a bowl, combine cinnamon and sugar.
Using a small round cookie cutter, cut the center out of each biscuit. Drop dough into hot oil, watching carefully and turning when golden. Once doughnuts are golden on both sides, remove with wide slotted spatula to paper towel lined plate. Repeat until all dough is cooked, including doughnut holes.
Press both sides into cinnamon sugar mixture. Serve warm.
Notes:
Air Fryer Option
Preheat air fryer to 360 degrees. To do this, simply turn your air fryer on at 330 degrees and let it run for about 3-5 minutes.
In a medium bowl, mix together the cinnamon and sugar. Set aside.
Open the can of flaky biscuits and cut the center out of each one. Lightly coat air fryer basket with olive oil spray . Do not use non-stick spray like Pam (those sprays could be harmful to your air fryer).
Place the donuts in your air fryer. Bake for 5 minutes at 360 degrees. (3 minutes for holes)
Tip: I don't have a small 1" cutter so I use my tea infuser to cut the hole. Anything small like that will work.
