Chocolate Chip Cookie
Chocolate Chip cookies are an American favorite. Whether it is an afternoon snack, bedtime snack or any other time of the day this classic cookie is loved by all. This recipe is a favorite of young and old alike.

Ingredients
Ingredients:
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
Option: Using 1 stick of butter and 1 stick of margarine will result in a fluffier cookie as pictured.
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs
2 cups (12-ounce package) Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
Optional:
1 cup chopped nuts (If omitting, add 1 to 2 Tbsp. of all-purpose flour.)
Optional:
Sprinkle a few Sea Salt flakes on top prior to baking
Preparation
Preheat oven to 375° F.
Combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Set aside.
Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Gradually beat in flour mixture until well blended. Do not overmix.
Stir in morsels and nuts.
Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.
Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes:
Brown Sugar: light brown will give a lighter flavor, whereas dark brown gives a richer deeper flavor.
