Many of the summer's harvest of fruit is upon us and we just can't keep up with the bounty that the garden provides. It is time to start canning, freezing, making jellies and salsa!!
It's a busy time of year. A good option for your fruit is to freeze it now and then make your jellies, pie fillings, etc. once the busy harvesting season quiets down. Freezing fruit is easy to do and relatively quick! Your produce can be stored in a plastic airtight container, freezer bags glass jars or vacuum sealed. Done properly you can store frozen fruit for up to a year.
